Nursing
The health sector is growing in Australia with four out of five nursing graduates gaining employment within three months of graduation. When you study nursing with TAFE Queensland you'll have access to purpose-built training facilities, experienced teachers, and vocational placement opportunities.
Study nursing
Our Diploma of Nursing (HLT54115) will prepare you to work as an Enrolled Nurse (EN) within a diverse range of healthcare settings. After just 18 months you'll be fully qualified in nursing care, patient health analysis and administration, and monitoring medications.
Successful completion of our nursing diploma will qualify you to seek registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. You may also be eligible for up to one year of credit towards a Bachelor of Nursing, which is the minimum requirement to work as a Registered Nurse (RN).

Nursing facilities
You will study in our clinical labs equipped with electric beds, vital signs monitors, ECG machines, IV trolleys and responsive computerised simulator manikins. Our learning environments will prepare you for real-world situations while under the instruction and supervision of industry professionals.
Nursing students at TAFE Queensland study in our simulated nursing wards that replicate a real-life hospital environment. We make the transition from study to work easy, giving you an opportunity to learn on the same tools and equipment used in healthcare facilities around the country.
