TAFE Queensland English Language and Literacy Services

TAFE Queensland English Language and Literacy Services (TELLS) provides language, literacy, and numeracy training to job seekers and migrants through the Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) and the Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) program.

The AMEP is funded by the Australian Government Department of Home Affairs and delivered at our locations across Queensland. The SEE program is funded by the Australian Government Department of Education, Skills and Employment.

The Adult Migrant English Program

The Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) delivers free English lessons to new migrants to Australia. The program offers basic English language classes to help you develop your English language skills and settle confidently into your new life in Australia.

The Skills for Education and Employment

The Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) program provides up to 650 hours of free language, literacy and numeracy training to equip eligible job seekers with the knowledge and skills required to succeed in further studies or in the workforce.

Foundation Skills for Your Future

The Foundation Skills for Your Future program supports employed and recently unemployed Australians with fully-subsidised training for the workforce. Participants will gain reading, writing, digital and numeracy skills to improve employability or assist with their current role.
