Nurunderi
Located off the Bunya Highway in the South Burnett region our Nurunderi campus is based in the Aboriginal community of Cherbourg. The community is situated on the traditional lands of the Wakka Wakka Aboriginal people with the Wondai State Forest and Lake Barambah on its doorstep. Nurunderi (Cherbourg) is the only TAFE Queensland location to be built on designated Aboriginal land.

'Nurunderi' is an Aboriginal word that means 'taught by great spirit'. Nurunderi (Cherbourg) has a multi-cultural student population and offers Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander programs as well as traditional courses including aged care, agriculture, business, customer service skills, first aid, mental health, and spoken and written English.

Public transport
There is no public transport available at our Nurunderi campus, however transport services may be available through our Indigenous Support Office.

We have plenty of free, undercover parking available on-site for students at our Nurunderi campus.
Indigenous student support office
Our Indigenous Student Support Officers are passionate about supporting you on your study journey. They can assist you by providing information on courses that may suit your needs, and by working with you and your teachers to support your study goals. They can also give you personalised one-on one support providing you with encouragement as part of your support network, helping you with your resume, and supporting you to secure a job after completing your studies. There may also be ways we can help you with your course fees through government exemptions and grants.
Video conferencing facilities
We want to support our students no matter where they are or what study mode they prefer. Our Nurunderi campus brings our teachers on location with our state-of-the-art video conferencing facilities. These training facilities are designed to provide tutorial support to students who are studying externally. With our virtual training rooms you can speak directly to your teacher, no matter how far away you are, and interact with your classmates in a real-time environment.
