Maroochydore
TAFE Queensland has been partnering with the Australian Industry Trade College (AITC) at their Gold Coast and Redlands locations for several years, providing pre-employment training to students and guiding them towards the right trade path. Now, AITC is on the Sunshine Coast and has taken up residence in our Maroochydore campus.
This partnership with AITC creates a fantastic opportunity for local year 10, 11 and 12 students looking to get a head start on their trade qualifications with a school-based apprenticeship while completing their Queensland Certificate of Education. TAFE Queensland will support AITC by providing trade tasters that allow students to sample a variety of trade areas that will help them choose their trade pathway, and should the students and employers nominate us, deliver their vocational training.
Based off the results of their Gold Coast and Redlands campuses, AITC is set to provide a fantastic boost to the number of tradespeople in the region by shining a light on careers in trades and helping young people get started sooner, and TAFE Queensland is proud to be part of it.
