Whether you're looking to work as a floor finisher, plasterer or wall and floor tiler, we have the training you need to launch your trades career at TAFE Queensland. Flooring, plastering and tiling are hands-on trades in the building and construction industry that work in both commercial and residential projects.
Demand for qualified professionals in the building and construction industry continues to grow and population growth is supporting a demand for new housing construction, driving a need for specialist trades. Plasterers and wall and floor tilers are in particularly high demand, with employers finding it hard to fill available vacancies.
We offer industry-standard flooring training with specialisations available in timber sand and coat, composite timber, resilient, concrete polishing, carpet, and composite carpet and vinyl. We also offer practical courses in both roof tiling and wall and floor tiling as well as plastering courses in solid plastering, and wall and ceiling lining.
