Tourism is a major contributor to the nation’s economy. With international visitation to Australia growing at nearly three times the rate of global travel, Australia now makes more money selling tourism services to inbound visitors than it makes from exporting coal. Domestic tourism is also seeing strong growth with domestic travel growing at its fastest pace since formal records began in 1998.
